Chronic Pulpitis

Chronic Pulpitis

Alta Stomatology is an innovative oral disease research company dedicated to developing effective solutions for chronic pulpitis. Chronic pulpitis is one of the most common pulp diseases clinically. At Alta Stomatology, we're dedicated to offering one-stop services for chronic pulpitis research, including whole-genome sequencing, the development of novel therapies, and the molecular mechanisms behind this disorder. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.

Research on Chronic Pulpitis

Chronic pulpitis is one of the most common pulp diseases clinically. Because dental caries causes bacterial infection inside the tooth, it has long-term and continuous stimulation to the pulp, causing chronic inflammation of the dental pulp. Chronic pulpitis has a long course. The main clinical manifestations of patients are tooth pain, gum swelling and tooth sensitivity. If not treated in time, it will seriously affect the patient's quality of life.

Currently, root canal treatment is often used in the clinical treatment of chronic pulpitis, which can effectively preserve the patient's dental pulp or affected tooth. Root canal treatment uses mechanical and chemical methods to remove and disinfect the infected area. The root canals are then filled with biocompatible materials to avoid worsening of the disease.

Our Services

Alta Stomatology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pulpitis and provides first-class services for the development of root canal treatment materials and the establishment of animal models of chronic pulpitis. Root canal treatment materials include root canal sealers and core obturation materials. The role of the sealer is critical for establishing a fluid-tight seal of the root canal as it fills the vacant space between the prepared dentinal wall and the core filling material. Core materials exist to fill the bulk of the root canal space and act as a plug to prevent any leakage or ingress of foreign material. At Alta Stomatology, our scientists work hard to develop filling materials for root canal treatment and establish animal models for chronic pulpitis research to promote the scientific research on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pulpitis.

For the establishment of animal model of chronic pulpitis, we can provide the canine chronic pulpitis model.

Animal Model Type Experimental Method
Canine Chronic Pulpitis Model The experimental canine was anesthetized, and a high-speed turbine was used to drill and grind the canine tooth while spraying water until the pulp was exposed. In this way, a chronic pulpitis model was established.

Our Diagnosis Methods

At Alta Stomatology, we understand the importance of accurate diagnosis for effective treatment of chronic pulpitis. That's why we have developed cutting-edge diagnosis methods to guide the diagnosis and assessment of the severity of apical periodontitis disease.

Diagnosis Methods Description
X-ray Examination We use the most advanced X-ray technology to obtain detailed images of the pulp in order to accurately diagnose acute pulpitis.
Laser Doppler Flowmetry Examination Laser doppler flowmetry uses helium-neon or semiconductor as the laser light source. The detection principle is that the Doppler phenomenon absorbs the reflected light with frequency drift caused by the movement of blood cells, and the flow and flow rate of blood cells are detected based on the intensity and frequency shift of the reflected light. The test results can reflect the pulp blood flow and thereby determine the pulp vitality.
