Protein A/G/L is a specially crafted protein resulting from genetic engineering, amalgamating the IgG binding capabilities found in Protein A, Protein G, and Protein L. It's the outcome of gene fusion, comprising five Ig-binding regions from protein L, five IgG binding domains from Protein A, and two Ig-binding regions from protein G. To maximize specific IgG binding, any non-specific binding regions such as those for cell wall binding and albumin binding have been meticulously removed from this fusion protein. |
