Dentin Caries

Dentin Caries

Dentin caries is a common oral disease that affects millions of people worldwide. It is caused by the demineralization of the tooth structure, leading to the formation of cavities in the dentin layer of the tooth. If left untreated, dentin caries can progress and cause pain, infection, and tooth loss. Alta Stomatology is a leading oral disease research company dedicated to developing reagents and drugs for the prevention and treatment of dentin caries. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.

Research on Dentin Caries

In recent years, there have been significant advancements in the research and development of drugs targeting dentin caries. Novel drug candidates are under investigation, with a focus on antimicrobial agents that target specific bacterial strains linked to caries. These agents aim to combat the microbial that cause dentin caries effectively. Additionally, researchers are exploring bioactive materials designed to release minerals, fostering remineralization processes crucial for strengthening tooth structure. Another avenue of investigation involves enzymes capable of breaking down biofilms formed by cariogenic bacteria, addressing the root cause of dentin caries formation. These advancements underscore a multifaceted approach in drug development, targeting both microbial factors and promoting remineralization as key strategies in the fight against dentin caries. Continued research in this field holds promise for more effective and targeted treatments to combat dentin caries.

Our Services

As a leader in the field of oral disease research, Alta Stomatology possesses an advanced pharmaceutical research and development platform. We are capable of providing professional and comprehensive drug development services for dentin caries tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Whether the requirements involve specific components, therapeutic effects, or indications, we are committed to meeting and exceeding their expectations, ensuring the delivery of effective, safe, and industry-standard oral health solutions.

MMP Inhibitors Development

MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) plays a crucial role in the degradation of collagen and other matrix components in dentin. Alta Stomatology can provide you with a one-stop MMP inhibitor development service to halt the progression of dentin caries by inhibiting MMP activity, allowing for the preservation of tooth structure and preventing further decay.

Antimicrobial Agents Development

Bacteria are the primary cause of dentin caries, as they produce acids that erode the tooth structure and create an environment conducive to decay. At Alta Stomatology, our antimicrobial agents development services focus on developing new compounds that can effectively target and eliminate cariogenic bacteria, thus reducing the risk of dental decay.

Remineralizing Agents Development

Remineralization is the process of restoring minerals to the tooth structure and strengthening the enamel and dentin layers. Alta Stomatology has researchers with extensive experience in remineralizing agent development. We can develop a range of products to promote enamel and dentin demineralization and restore tooth structure. By enhancing the natural remineralization process, we can help patients reverse the early stages of dentin caries and promote overall oral health.

Diagnosis Methods of Dentin Caries

Diagnosis Methods Description
Transillumination This is a technique where a light source is shone through the tooth to detect demineralization or cavities in the dentin.
Dark spots or shadows may indicate the presence of caries.
QLF QLF is a method that uses a fluorescent light to detect changes in the tooth structure.
It can quantify the severity of demineralization and help monitor the progression of caries.
Electrical Resistance Measurements This method measures the electrical resistance of the tooth to detect areas of demineralization and cavities in the dentin.
Ultrasonic Laser devices can be used to measure the fluorescence of tooth structure. Changes in fluorescence may indicate demineralization associated with early caries.
These devices are often used as an adjunct to traditional diagnostic methods.
Dye Tests Caries detection dyes can be applied to the teeth. These dyes selectively stain areas of demineralization, making them more visible.
The dye is rinsed off, and the stained areas indicate potential cavities.
Microscopic Examination Microscopic analysis, including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), can provide detailed images of tooth surfaces and demineralized areas.
