Enamel Caries

Enamel Caries

Alta Stomatology is an innovative oral disease research company dedicated to developing effective solutions for enamel caries. Enamel caries, also known as dental caries or tooth decay, is a common oral disease caused by the degradation of tooth enamel due to bacterial acid production. At Alta Stomatology, we specialize in providing one-stop services for enamel remineralization research to improve oral health globally. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.

Research on Enamel Caries

Over the past years, research on enamel remineralizing agents has significantly advanced. Numerous studies have been conducted to identify targeted approaches to prevent and treat enamel caries. Researchers have explored the use of novel drug delivery systems, such as nanoparticles and bioactive glasses, for precise and controlled release of remineralizing agents. Furthermore, advancements in biomaterials science have allowed for the design of biomimetic materials that mimic the natural enamel structure and promote remineralization.

Clinical trials have shown promising results in the efficacy of fluoride varnishes, casein phosphopeptides-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) complexes, and hydroxyapatite-based toothpaste in preventing enamel demineralization and enhancing remineralization. The research in this field is crucial for developing innovative preventive strategies and treatment options for enamel caries.

Our Services

At Alta Stomatology, we are committed to providing top-notch services in the field of oral disease research, specifically focusing on enamel caries and enamel remineralization. Alta Stomatology actively engages in enamel remineralization research. Enamel remineralization is a process that involves the restoration of the mineral composition of tooth enamel, minimizing the impact of enamel caries. We strive to develop innovative materials that can prompt enamel remineralization. Through comprehensive material characterization and testing, we aim to discover effective remineralizing agents that can aid in the prevention and management of enamel caries.

Diagnosis Methods of Enamel Caries

Diagnosis Methods Description
X-ray Examination We employ state-of-the-art X-ray technology to obtain detailed images of the teeth, enabling our experts to identify enamel caries that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Raman Spectral Imaging A non-destructive optical method using raman spectral imaging to estimate tooth caries extent and provide imaging information. It can differentiate between normal enamel, initial caries, and advanced caries, based on distinct spectral features.
Laser Fluorescence This non-invasive diagnostic method utilizes laser technology to detect the early stages of enamel caries by measuring the fluorescence emitted by the tooth structure.
Conductivity Determination A dental conductivity method using microcurrents to detect latent fissures, recurrent caries, and tooth decay accurately. The technique involves drying the tooth surface, using electrolyte solution, and recording conductivity readings, aiding early caries diagnosis in dentistry.
Bacterial Testing We perform microbiological tests to identify the specific bacteria responsible for enamel caries, allowing for targeted treatment.
