Molecular Imaging Platform

Molecular Imaging Platform

Oral diseases represent a significant global health concern, encompassing dental caries, periodontal diseases, oral cancer, among others. Traditional diagnosis and research of oral diseases typically rely on clinical manifestations and histopathological analysis. However, these methods often offer limited information, constraining our understanding of the mechanisms underlying the occurrence and progression of oral diseases. To enhance the study of oral diseases, Alta Stomatology has established an advanced molecular imaging platform, which equipped with state-of-the-art imaging devices and experienced researchers, this platform enables us to observe the microstructure and function of oral tissues in a non-invasive manner, thereby facilitating a deeper understanding of the nature of oral diseases. Additionally, our molecular imaging platform allows real-time monitoring of the distribution and metabolism of drugs in oral tissues, enabling the assessment of drug efficacy and safety.

Our Research

Early Diagnosis of Oral Diseases

Molecular imaging technology can help us achieve early diagnosis of oral diseases. By utilizing high-resolution imaging equipment, we can observe tiny pathological changes in oral tissues, such as early lesions of dental caries, minor inflammation in periodontal tissues, etc. This enables us to timely detect and intervene in the progression of diseases, thereby increasing the success rate of treatments and improving patients' quality of life.

Research on the Pathological Mechanisms of Oral Diseases

Molecular imaging technology can investigate the pathophysiological processes of oral diseases. By observing molecular changes in oral tissues, such as cell apoptosis, inflammatory reactions, and angiogenesis, a deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying oral diseases can be gained, providing a theoretical basis for the development of new drugs. Additionally, molecular imaging technology allows real-time monitoring of the distribution and metabolism of drugs in oral tissues, enabling the assessment of drug efficacy and safety, thus accelerating the development and clinical application of oral medications.
