Research on Epithelial Odontogenic Tumor

The pathogenetic mechanism of odontogenic tumors is closely related to the developmental processes of teeth. As a result, the molecular signaling mechanisms for normal enamel organs and odontogenic tumors have been closely compared. For the organogenesis of tooth germs, the reciprocal induction between odontogenic mesenchyme and enamel epithelium sequentially progresses to differentiate odontoblasts into odontogenic mesenchyme and ameloblasts in the enamel epithelium.

During these processes of tooth formation, the tumorigenesis of odontogenic epithelium occurs in the state of immature odontogenic tissues, resulting in different histological features and variable potentials of tumor propagation. Tumors arising from the epithelium of the odontogenic apparatus or from its derivatives or remnants exhibit considerable histological variation and are classified into several benign and malignant entities. Different epithelial odontogenic tumors (EOTs) can be classified into ameloblastomas, adenomatoid odontogenic tumors, calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumors, odontogenic ghost cell tumors, squamous odontogenic tumors, etc.

Our Services

Epithelial Odontogenic Tumor is a rare type of odontogenic tumor that arises from the epithelium involved in tooth development. It predominantly affects the jawbones and can present as either a benign or malignant tumor. EOTs have unique histopathological features and require thorough investigation to understand their molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

We are pleased to offer comprehensive basic research services focused on epithelial odontogenic tumor. Our team of experienced researchers and scientists is dedicated to advancing our understanding of EOT through cutting-edge experimental methodologies and techniques.

Ameloblastoma Research

With a research team with extensive expertise in ameloblastoma research as well as an advanced platform, Alta Stomatology can provide services of histological analysis, molecular pathogenesis investigation, and mutation testing. Through our services, researchers can gain valuable insights into the underlying biology of epithelial odontogenic tumor.

Squamous Odontogenic Tumor Research

Alta Stomatology provides first-class services for diagnosis and treatment research of squamous odontogenic tumor. Our experts utilize immunohistochemical staining techniques to assess the expression of specific proteins, helping to elucidate the molecular profile of EOTs. We employ state-of-the-art molecular techniques to investigate the molecular pathways involved in EOT development and progression.
